Please join REFF for the Third Annual Volunteer Event!!! This event is an opportunity for us to give back to our community.
When: October 17, 2007
Where: Deborah's Place
Transportation: We will meet at 333 West Wacker. Bus transportation to the site will be provided. Please arrive between 12:00 pm and 12: 30 pm. The bus will leave at 12:30pm sharp. The bus will be dropping participants who will not be attending happy hour back at 333 West Wacker following the event.
Event Time: 12:00pm-4:00pm with happy hour to follow.

Agency Background: Deborah's Place is a women's shelter with four separate locations in the Chicago area. The organization is the largest provider of supportive housing for women in Chicago. Seventy-five percent of the residents of Deborah's Place are mentally or physically disabled, and the agency provides services to address the individual needs of these residents.
The staff members at Deborah's Place were extremely please with the projects that volunteers from REFF completed the past two years and are excited about the prospect of having the same group come back.
Volunteers from REFF will work at the shelter on projects including: landscaping and beautification to the garden behind the building, building bookshelves to be used in the library and resource center, and painting canvas murals to be placed around the facilities

1:15pm Volunteers receive assignments and begin work
3:30pm Clean-up begins
3:50pm Wrap-up and evaluation session led by Chicago Cares
4:00pm Volunteers depart for drinks to ROCKS Lincoln Park and bus departs for 333 West Wacker drop-off
